This is one of the wonders of the modern world. The wonder being how such a thing could even be conceived by a sane human mind. Yet, I've been on that overpass, goodness know, how many times. Almost every Monday morning since 2004, I leave Rome taking this tangential route out of San Giovanni to Via Salaria, then on to the Autostrada. Less than two hours later I am in Chiusi at my desk drawing walled gardens.
