The Making of Architecture

Leon Battista Alberti, an influential architectural expert
Of the early to mid Renaissance, in his treatise,
On the convenience of deeper considerations in siting,

He questions the validity of building just anywhere.
He says 'salubrious' to describe certain soils for living
Oozing positive vibes at every leisurely creative moment.

He writes ten books on the making of architecture.

His point is not so much fine living as keeping healthy
On which the former depends; as a matter of bold geomancy
Not discursive wit; a thing may or may not be but is.

Living in a Villa misconstrues as synonyms for snobbery
However it would seem to some a relatively harmless defect
Seen from certain angles in the sweaty pleasure of privilege.

None of this answers the question, What do we build?
It is 'the' big question for the one who must pay.
When we have an answer, that would be a good moment.

For what?

To get drunk,

Why?

Because we have won the job!
