Foundation

Adam and Eve open their eyes, leave paradise to take on the world. Life is no more a dream but settles into a pattern of movement and the weight of its architecture.

In the middle of the Walled Garden the Tree of Life stands forever, guarded by flames. The flame is the symbol of truth. It is a constant light as though a piece had been sent to the candle directly from the sun itself. Hope says, "Keep the flame burning." In architecture, the flame, as the symbol of truth, is replaced by the column and truth becomes weight at the logos of being. Here marks the centre of the city where meaning has been grounded and divinity recognised as the foundation of a viable society.

At Palazzo Te, the reliability of being itself is eternally challenged. The regularity of the entablature is perversely interrupted, questioning the assumptions about edificial stability.
