What is a Sermon?
A Sermon is an opportunity to preach
Whereas a lecture is to teach.
Whatever the mode it is clear there has been a breach
Of something or other going by the attire on the beach.
We are no longer ashamed!
That's progress, Hey! That's progress, Man!
Yet lives, it seems, are still laid low on the streets.
She sells her body to the first person she meets
At an hourly rate even as she prefers he who just greets
Even if he is just another archetype between the sheets.
Maybe deep down Abel was just as complicated
And Cain's only fault was his uncontrollable temper
And in a fit, he mistook an axe for a pillow.
Well, that sibling story never told in so much detail
Is the road that we went down, and here we are.
As a way of Introducing Dr. Jordan Peterson, the above poem would be quite in line with the opportunities for learning that history presents. Anyway I think he is on to something.
